Where is it made
Many dehumidifiers are now made in China. If this is the case, they won’t be optimised for the UK’s every-changing climate. This is because they are mass-produced to be sold all over Europe and the world. Ebac dehumidifiers are made in the UK and are therefore completely optimised for the UK’s damp climate and are perfect for your home.
How is it made
It is common for people to look for the lowest-costing dehumidifier. However, these are almost always made using the cheapest parts possible, therefore lasting for short amount of time. Ebac dehumidifiers are manufactured using the highest quality ABS polymers. This means that they are very robust and will last a long time.
Size
At Ebac we manufacture dehumidifiers for both domestic and industrial use, therefore you can have one for whatever your need. However, you need to think about where you will be using your dehumidifier and what size it should be. Compressor dehumidifiers are what we recommend for domestic application due to their size and capacity.
Water container
An often overlooked element of the dehumidifier, the water container is much more important than you might first realise. You should be emptying it every day to make sure your dehumidifier runs to the highest efficiency. A water container must be easy to remove, carry, empty and reinstall, and the water containers in our dehumidifiers tick all of these boxes.
Running costs
How expensive will it be to run? This should be one of the first questions you ask yourself when considering which dehumidifier to buy. Many people wrongly believe that a desiccant dehumidifier is right for a domestic application due to its capability to remove high volumes of water from the air. However, desiccant dehumidifiers work best in industrial settings. By using a more suitable, compressor dehumidifier for your home, it will remove the right amount of moisture from the air and do so with much lower running costs. Ebac dehumidifiers can save you up to £60 a year in running costs.
Control system
Choosing an effective, cost-efficient control system can save you time and money. Manual humidistats need to be monitored and changed by you. That is why scientists at Ebac developed Smart Control. Ebac’s Smart Control changes the settings automatically to optimise them for the conditions in your home. This can save energy and money.
If you follow these 6 steps, you are sure to find the right Ebac dehumidifier for your needs. Head to ebac.com to see our full range.
