What Happened The Day Ebac Had A Special Visitor
Gabriel, 7, who has autism and is obsessed with washing machines, first came to our attention when BBC Tees posted a video of him to Facebook showcasing his fascination and love for all things washing machines.
It was as soon as we seen this video that we knew we had to do something to make this passion even greater and so we reached out to BBC and invited Gabriel, his Mum and his Dad to see our Ebac Washing Machines being made in real life.
Gabriel loves using his Mum and Dad's washing machine at home so much that their washer often breaks from overuse and needs to be replaced! But when he's not helping his parents with the washing, he loves visiting his local launderette in Middlesbrough as an after-school treat so when we heard that Gabriel's answer to come to Ebac was a massive YES we were just as excited as he was.
Watch what Gabriel got up to when he visited our factory in County Durham last week.

With over four decades experience engineering products for some of the world's biggest companies, including London Underground and East Coast Trains, we're proud to say that our Washing Machines are the only machines designed and manufactured here in the UK.
At Ebac, we really care about the people who make us successful and the communities in which they live so was a real pleasure to make Gabriel's half term dreams come true and give him a glimpse of the work that goes into making an Ebac Washing Machine.

|Julie:||And today we're at Ebac. And we're here for Gabriel and his love for washing machines. He's just fascinated by how they work.|
|Mark:||Gabriel's love of washing machines started from an early age. When he was born he was interested in wheels, he used to turn cars upside down, then from the age of about two he started taking note of the washing machine at home; started opening the door, getting his hand in and spinning the drum around. Then, he started doing our washing, he would drag the washing downstairs on his own at two years old, three years old, get the powder in and actually put the washing machine.|
|Gabriel:||I've really enjoyed myself today, seeing all the washing machines.|
