Dehumidification with Heat Recovery (DHR) is a better solution than Positive Input Ventilation (PIV)

Over the past 20 years, PIV systems have become a popular
way for UK homes to solve damp, condensation, and mould
problems. PIV systems are relatively low-cost and easy to
install in retrofit applications. However, the main issue with PIV
is that they force warm air out of your home and all that
warm air is expensive to reheat.

A DHR system from Ebac will save £158.35 every year compared to an equivalent PIV system. Over the course of 7 years (the estimated lifespan of a PIV unit) this represents a cost of over £1,100 in wasted energy saving with Ebac.

Ebac’s DHR systems are as easy to install in retrofit
applications, are a similar price to PIV systems but their main
advantage is that they recover 88% of the heat from the air
that is removed. This means that they are substantially
cheaper to run when compared to PIV. you save £158.35 per year
using Ebac's DHR solution.

Say goodbye to the issues of damp, condensation and mould

Proper ventilation is crucial for eliminating the effects of
condensation in your home permanently. Are you one of the
20% of UK households that experience streaming
windows, damp patches, mould, and musty odours.
You need a long-lasting, permanent, low-cost solution.

Temporary solutions like portable dehumidifiers, opening
windows, or repainting and decorating the walls won’t solve
the problem on a permanent basis. These measures can
only provide a short-term solution.

It's almost impossible to avoid condensation caused by
everyday activities like cooking, showering, and drying
clothes. Energy-efficient homes with double glazing and
insulation prevent moisture from escaping and increases
humidity in the home. This means effective ventilation
essential for your health, quality of life, and
property.

The ventilation experts at Ebac can help you find a
permanent solution to the effects of condensation. Through a
free home survey, they can identify the specific needs of your
home and recommend a ventilation system tailored to your
needs. Say goodbye to the unpleasant effects of
condensation and hello to a healthier, more comfortable home
with proper ventilation.
