A reliable washing machine already has a longer lifespan than standard washing machines. You should be able to trust that your washing machine will continue to perform its functions efficiently for the duration of its expected lifespan.
Consumers want washing machines with longevity, just like Ebac’s range of reliable washing machines. However, did you know there may be ways to make your reliable washing machine last even longer?
1. Don’t overload your machine
Pay attention to your washing machine’s load capacity and don’t exceed it. Not only will your clothes not be washed as efficiently and be less clean but overloading your washing machine also adds extra stress to your motor and drum. The bearings of your machine may become unbalanced, and you may even cause permanent damage.
2. Always check your pockets
Coins, hair clips, car keys and other items you forget to take out of your pockets can actually be causing damage to your machine. Small items can become stuck inside your pipes or motor and hard items can scratch the drum.
3. Make sure your washing machine sits on an even surface
Your washing machine should be perfectly level and all four legs should be touching the floor. If not, your washing machine can rock back and forth or vibrate more violently. Not only can this damage your floor and the legs of your machine, but it can also cause your drum to become unbalanced or cause leaks.
4. Use the right amount of laundry detergent
This is a common mistake people make, as they want to ensure their clothes smell clean and fresh. However, using more than the recommended amount of detergent could actually be harming your washing machine. It can cause water to spill into the motor and could cause long-term damage – especially if you frequently use too much detergent.
